YES! I finally got the podcast out on time! The fact that an interview is the featured content for the week certainly helped.
Episode 5 is available NOW! It’s a little lengthy, but I pray you’ll think it’s worth it. As I’ve said before, I’m trying to get better with each episode, and I need your help to do so.
In the meantime, as usual, I pray you will a) find it not robbery to listen for a few minutes, b) be entertained and, even more importantly, be blessed by this production, and c) leave some feedback, good or bad.
Welcome to the Pastor’s Corner, where football is life and life is football. Not really, but there is so much we can learn about life by watching football.
- Although the NFL is a passing league, quality running back play is essential to fantasy football success. My 1st round, 4th overall selection, CJ Spiller, finally showed up, along with Fred Jackson, a waiver wire pickup who’s done much better than Spiller this season, propelling me to a big week.
- I interviewed Quinne Lowe, a Detroit-area, Tampa transplant, fan-turned-sportswriter, who gave lots of great insight into the ins and outs of the Josh Freeman saga in Tampa Bay. He has some strong thoughts about how Freeman was treated and coach Greg Schiano’s role in that treatment, along with thoughts on who would best benefit from Freeman’s services (of course, before Minnesota signed him to a one-year deal over the weekend) and lessons we can learn from the whole experience. Be sure to check out his weekly sports show on BlogTalk Radio, Sports Q&A, which airs Thursdays 8-10pm, and follow Quinne on Twitter.
- And before I go, let me just say this: Tony Romo has taught us many times that it’s the last thing you do that we remember most. Don’t let a failure be the last thing you do in life. God’s not through with you yet.
All of this plus league upsets on Episode 5 of the Pastor’s Corner.
Lame? Inspirational? Blah? Something you want to add? Let me know. Be blessed!
